Demand that the Field Museum remove the owner of the Chicago Blackhawks from W. Rockwell “Rocky” Wirtz from their Board of Trustees.
“The Field Museum has not challenged Wirtz on changing his teams logo; despite Native American people on staff, in this community and across the nation calling for immediate action.”
“The Field Museum is actively profiting from the policing and controlling of Native American bodies, intellectual property, and voices. They chose to have W. Rockwell Wirtz the owner of the [Chicago] Blackhawks, who uses racist stereotypes as their mascot and logo, sit on the board of trustees and continue their tradition of profiting from Indigenous and African genocide.”
